This 1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler is powered by a Chevrolet 350ci V8 that is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is said to have been sold new in Pennsylvania and was refurbished as a show truck in the early 1990s. A subsequent owner in Florida installed the V8 around 2006. Finished in brown over a red interior, the truck features a tan fiberglass hardtop, Warn locking hubs, an Edelbrock carburetor, power steering, side exhaust pipes, and driving lights as well as a Trail Master suspension with dual-corner shock absorbers and a lift kit.
The truck is said to have been refinished in brown during the aforementioned 1990s refurbishment, and painted “Scrambler” lettering decorates the hood. Features include a tan-colored removable fiberglass hardtop as well as steel doors, black wheel-arch flares, chrome trim and bumpers, side steps, and a roll bar.
Aluminum 15″ wheels from Progressive Custom Wheel are mounted with 18.5/44-15 LT Gateway Gumbo Monster Mudder tires. The Trail Master suspension features a lift kit and dual-corner shock absorbers.
An aluminum fuel tank is positioned in the truck bed.
Twin bucket seats are upholstered in red velour with matching door panels and carpeting. A Cheetah shifter is located between the seats.
A Grant GT steering wheel fronts a centrally mounted 85-mph speedometer, which is accompanied by gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 25k miles.
The Chevrolet 350ci V8 is said to have been installed under previous ownership in 2006, and it is fed by an Edelbrock carburetor. Other equipment includes an aluminum intake manifold, an aluminum water pump, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The radiator, hoses, thermostat, and alternator were replaced in 2019.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. SuperTrapp tunable mufflers terminate ahead of the rear wheels.
